If you don't like the smell of coconut, then I suggest you stop reading now and save yourself five minutes. But if you love the smell of coconuts —?heck, if you even slightly like the smell of coconuts — I may have just found your new favorite body scrub.
Kopari Coconut Crush Scrub is quite possibly the yummiest-smelling body scrub I've ever used, with a warm, sweet, reminds-you-of-that-trip-to-Hawaii coconutty scent. If I were four years old, I would probably try to eat it. Instead, I just imagine what the grainy brown scrub would taste like and maybe, just maybe, salivate a little in the shower. The scent lingers on your skin for about 20 minutes or so after you've dried off — at least to the point where you notice it. Although I'm sure if you put your nose right up to your arm skin, you'd still probably be able smell it for a few hours.
What absolutely doesn't dissipate is the hydrating coconut oil that this stuff leaves on your skin. You notice it as you rinse off the grains, which are actually pieces of crushed-up coconut shells. Your skin feels a bit slippery (not in a gross, greasy way, though) and water droplets bead on your skin. Even after you step out of the shower and dry off with a towel, the oil is still there, removing the need for body lotion or body oil post-shower. (I do tend to use a bit on my elbows, however, as mine always look a bit lizard-y, even in the summer.)
The other thing I love about this scrub is the fact that while the granules are grainy enough to scrub away your dry patches, they're not so big or sharp that they scratch your skin or feel painful. As you massage the formula (which looks kind of like wet coffee grounds) over your body, the coconut shells seem to dissolve after a few seconds of gently sloughing away at your skin, giving you silky, smooth, delicious-smelling arms and legs in a matter of seconds.
